Register Now: 2017 Equal Justice Works Conference & Career Fair

Free for GW Law School Students!

The Equal Justice Works Conference & Career Fair is the largest national public interest legal career fair in the country. More than 165 public interest employers conduct interviews for internships and full-time jobs and meet with students in informal “table talk” discussions of public interest legal opportunities. Over 1,200 students from nearly 150 law schools attend for interviews, workshops on public interest careers, networking, resume review, mock interviews, and more.

GW Law School is making this event free to all currently enrolled students. This includes 1Ls, who may attend Table Talk, workshops, and any event programming outside of scheduled interviews. Important Note: If you are no longer able to attend the event, email to request your registration be canceled before October 9.

Follow the directions below to have your registration fee billed to GW Law School:

To register, access the portal here and follow the instructions in this guide. (You will find GW Law School under “The George Washington University Law School”).

Once you create your profile and the registration form, you will be directed to a credit card payment form. At this point, you can log out. Your registration will be complete even though it says you have not paid. You will be able to log back in to the system, apply for jobs, and schedule interviews.   • If you have previously registered for the Conference and Career Fair, follow the instructions for “using a previous account” starting at the bottom of page two of the guide. Make sure to update your class year.
  • If this is your first time registering, follow the instructions for “creating an account” starting at the top of page two of the guide. Please note that if you are new to the event, you must create a profile AND register for the event in order to finalize your registration and apply for jobs.
  • Follow the instructions for “registering to attend” starting at the bottom of page three of the guide.
  • Once you click “Save” you will be registered and a credit card payment screen will appear. Simply log out of the database.
  • Once you log back in, you will have a note in your “task list” on the home page that says your event registration is incomplete. However, this will not affect your ability to attend the event, view employers, apply for interviews, or be selected for interviews. Please ignore the message and continue following the instructions in the guide to upload documents, submit applications and accept interview invitations.


  • You will NOT receive a confirmation email from Equal Justice Works regarding your registration.
  • If you accidentally pay your registration fee, email careerfair@equaljusticeworks.organd you will be refunded—there’s no need to cancel your registration or wait. Equal Justice Works will do this for any GW student through October 9th.

2L and 3L students who want to apply for Equal Justice Works interviews with employers must register and apply to available positions no later than Wednesday, September 13. UPDATE: A few selection positions have been extended to September 20!  Click here for more info

You will be notified if you are selected for an interview between September 17th and October 1st and you will have the opportunity to accept or decline the interview until October 7th. Students who only wish to attend the informational “Table Talk” sessions with employers or other conference programming can register until the day of the event.
